LIT – Licensed Insolvency Trustee
A Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT) is the only professional licensed by the Federal Government of Canada to perform services pursuant to Federal legislation known as the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (“BIA”).
The purpose of this website is to provide easy to understand information about Bankruptcy, Consumer Proposals, and the Licensed Insolvency Trustees (LITs) who provide these services. We also provide access to local LITs who offer free consultations throughout Canada for individuals considering bankruptcy or a consumer proposal, or who simply want to learn their options for dealing with their debt.
